Three enduring trends
Wooden kitchens, a variety of colors, and integrated living rooms continue to be strong trends in kitchen design. Midnight blue, gray, and green are particularly popular choices, especially when paired with brushed metallic surfaces, creating a cozy and inviting ambiance.
"The trend of blurring the boundaries between the kitchen and living room is expected to endure, with the integration of wood and colors further enhancing the seamless flow between these spaces." says Helle Toftgaard, Product Manager at HTH.
She further emphasizes the importance of combining wood and colors to create a unified and harmonious connection between the kitchen and living room.

Kitchen gadgets
The demand for technical gadgets and solutions that enhance functionality and convenience in the kitchen is soaring. From versatile lighting options that can be controlled remotely to innovative waste sorting and space utilization systems, homeowners are seeking practical and efficient solutions.

Classic elegance meets modern layouts
"The classic style with a modern layout has indeed gained popularity in kitchen design," affirms Katrine Albæk Mørck, HTH's Concept Coordinator. She explains that this style brings together the enduring charm of classic aesthetics and the practicality of contemporary functionality, resulting in a harmonious fusion of tradition and innovation. Mørck further highlights two classic kitchen styles that have been given a modern twist: the in-frame kitchen and the slat kitchen.
The trendy choices
The kitchen has evolved into an essential part of our homes, with an increased emphasis on its design and the selection of materials. The kitchen elements are now designed to resemble furniture, and rather than having a prominent hood, there is a preference for displaying art on the walls.
Floating kitchen island
"We see more kitchens that are elevated from the floor on legs, giving them a floating look," says Katrine Albæk Mørck. She continues, "It makes the kitchen resemble a piece of furniture that complements the rest of the home's decor."
With or without handles
According to Palle Larsen, the handle-free VH-7 design is popular: "It's a strong and functional design that celebrates clean lines. But we also see handles in brass and chrome being used as a design element that breaks up the individual fronts."
Integrated extractor hood
"We see a clear trend where people want to hide or integrate the extractor hood to a much greater extent than before. It can be built into wall cabinets, the ceiling, or as an integrated part of the cooktop," says Helle Toftgaard, Product Manager at HTH.
