Visiting the newly built home
Mette Møller and her family moved into their newly built H-house in 2020. The villa is 175 square meters with a 60 square meter garage and is located in a new neighbourhood in the scenic region of Southern Jutla

Third time's the charm
When selecting the cabinet doors for their new kitchen, the Møller family explored various possibilities. They initially considered an entirely grey kitchen, but that option didn't quite fit. They then toyed with the idea of a combination of wood and green, but it still didn't feel quite right.
Ultimately, they settled on a combination of Base Laminate Green and Focus White with VH-7 handle grooves. The family is content with this decision. "The green doors bring a cosy ambiance to our open kitchen," Mette mentions and adds, "The colour shifts with the light, often appearing more grey than green, which creates a vibrant appearance."
The Base model is offered in six matte colours and boasts the excellent advantage of both durability and a soft touch.
Perfectly paired materials
Laminate countertop
The kitchen's white laminate countertop matches the base and kitchen island, creating a beautiful cohesion in the design.
Black faucet and sink
The black sink and Quooker (instant boiling water tap) provide a nice contrast to the countertop and complement the rest of the open kitchen's decor.
VH-7 grebsspor
Mette har valgt hvide VH-7-grebsspor til køkkenøen og sorte til den lange bordplade ved vinduerne. De nederste skuffer åbnes ved hjælp af push-beslag.

Cabinet wall with unique detail
The cabinet wall in the Møller family's open kitchen is a distinctive feature. The cabinets are set 6 cm away from the wall and outlined with a black trim.
From a design perspective, this creates a captivating 3D visual effect that lends an exceptional touch to the open kitchen layout.
On a practical note, it facilitates ventilation without the requirement for conventional ventilation grilles at the appliance's upper and lower sections.

Creating a cosy and inviting space
The kitchen island, spanning 246 centimetres in length, features a built-in dining area for two. This spot is frequently occupied by children who amuse themselves while meals are being prepared, and it also serves as a gathering point for guests prior to dining.
The design of the kitchen island follows the Focus White model, composed of four 60-centimetre wide drawer cabinets on either side, complemented by a white laminate end panel.
Mette discovered the pair of green bar stools online. "After an extended search for suitable chairs, I came across the two green HAY chairs, and I seized the opportunity. Fortunately, they fit perfectly," she recounts

Continuous worktop for a seamless look
From the start, Mette envisioned a seamless worktop under the windows. "I disliked the idea of a visible seam in the middle," she explains.
At a length of 4 meters and 47 centimetres, this presented a challenge. The solution came in the form of a 3 cm thick white laminate worktop that could be custom-made to the exact measurement.
Laminate worktops provide numerous design choices to achieve the desired kitchen aesthetic at a budget-friendly cost.
Extend the same aesthetic to your bathroom
The Møller family's two bathrooms feature the same design as their open kitchen.
Next white
Both bathrooms showcase the Next White model, characterized by lacquered cabinet doors adorned with horizontal handle grooves.
Touchless kitchen tap
Opt for a light and stylish design with the added benefits of a touch-free tap, which not only adds convenience but can also help lower your water consumption.
Guest bathroom
In the guest toilet, Mette has opted for the same countertop as in the main bathroom, creating a sense of coherence and consistency in the design.
